I have one product with 9 variants and two warehouses (UK and NL).
Both UK and NL are setup as two separate locations.
Both locations are setup with shipping rates under a custom profile (UK to UK, NL to all of Europe).
However, not all variants are in stock in the NL location. Any ideas how I can set to out of stock when a customer from a non-UK location is visiting the store?
e.g. on my site www.misfitmasks.com UK customers can order all variants from the UK warehouse locations
When an Italian customer visits, they are automatically redicated to it.misfitmasks.com (via IP) with language changed. But some of the variants are not available to customers in Italy as they are fulfilled from the NL warehouse location. I donāt want to show those products to those customers.
Itās a single store with multi-language using weblot.
Hey @misfitmasks , this is something we are working on at the moment.
We do not have a timeline to share right now, but ensuring that your storefront correctly displays to visitors from different locations what is/isnāt available to them is a priority for us this year.
I was hoping this would be announced at shopify unite. We want to connect 1 website/domain (.com) to different 3PLs (EU & US), but show the correct inventory levels per region. An EU customer should not be able to buy US inventory.
Are there workarounds or apps you can suggest to solve this now? Or are seperare stores still the only way to go?
Thanks for adding our feedback here! Unfortunately weāre not in a position
to provide timelines just yet. We hope to have more to share soon, but
our aim is to deliver improvements for you this year.
We a) track inventory, and b) box is NOT checked to continue selling when out of stock
For example, if our Asia warehouse is out of something, we would like Shopify to show āout of stockā for orders shipping from Asia warehouse⦠but Shopify appears to allow item to go negative. This does make sense to usā¦
I would think Shopify would: if box is NOT checked to continue selling when out of stock to
state product is āout of stockā
have option to ship from a different location, then that location inventory would be deducted.
To us it does not make sense have a) track inventory, and b) box is NOT checked to continue selling when out of stock, then allow inventory to go negative
Very frustrating⦠we get orders daily for our Asia warehouse that are deducted from our UK warehouse due to this Shopify software issue⦠the software issue creates multiple problems with every order⦠I would think Shopify would want customers that have multiple warehouses, but apparently they are only interested in those customers that only have one warehouse⦠very disappointingā¦
The is no solution to this Shopify software issue that we are aware of⦠it is very disappointing that Shopify is not supporting their customers with multiple warehouses⦠I guess Shopify only cares about customers that have a single warehouseā¦
We get orders daily, for example: for our Asia warehouse that are deducted from our UK warehouse due to this Shopify software issue⦠the software issue creates multiple problems with every order⦠We have to 1) tell our customers that we have to cancel their order because of an error with the Shopify software. It allowed the order and deducted inventory that did not exist (Shopfiy allowed inventory to go negative even though we do NOT have box checked āContinue selling when out of stockā), 2) we have reset ānegativeā inventory in warehouse that is was deducted from. Very frustratingā¦
