Multiple storefronts, one back-end (Jerry-rigging)

Okay, LONG one incoming. I know shopify doesn’t allow multiple stores to be run from one back end, but i’m trying to jerry-rig a workaround for that.

I’m working on a store that will sell to many (potentially 75) different regions across the US. Each region is getting a near-identical spread of options, but I’ll be getting different embroidery done depending on the region; and the idea is to keep all of the regions separate. I don’t want people to accidentally order another region’s item, and I don’t want them to even be able to SEE other regions’ items. I DO NOT want to set up dozens of stores and manage them separately on the back end. I will never have the time to sort through all the orders, emails, I have other stores to run. I want to treat this as one big store on the back end with self-contained shops for every different region. All the inventory will be handled on one back end, but the customer will never know there’s anything more to the shop than the link they were given. If I give someone, say, the Indiana link, I only want them to see the Indiana version of the store with the Indiana collection of items. I don’t want them to be able to click into any other regions at all. The ‘home’ link should link back to the Indiana landing page, the “contact us” button should link to a contact form with region-specific language, et cetera. Does anyone have any suggestions for jerry rigging a store to work like that? I understand it’s a colossal undertaking and we’re breaking traditional shopify conventions, but I’m trying to work with what I have before jumping ship to something more robust.

Does ANYONE know a better way, have a workaround, know of an app, or have a simpler method that would make this easier?
