My website doesn’t get sales

My website gets around 50 visitors per day but I don’t get any sales. Does anyone have some tips on what I can change on my website and some strategies how I can make sales in this niche?

Hello @Dexterbakker ,

Thank you for your post in the Dutch Shopify Community. If you prefer to continue this conversation in Dutch feel free to do so! I have taken a look at your store. It looks like you have done a lot of work on it! It’s clear to me that you have put a lot of thought and care into this, so good job on what you have managed to create so far! I have noticed the following things.

1. Multiple languages used

On your store I can see multiple languages that are being used. It is clear your primary market is the Spanish market. When offering a localized Spanish experience it is important Spanish is the language you should use throughout your store. However, some of the pages on your store are only displayed in English:

I also noticed that the footer menu items are all displayed in English. In the checkout your shipping rate is displayed in Dutch. See the screenshot below:

Here you can see Gratis boven €75,- as a description of a Shipping Rate.

These kinds of things can deter your Spanish-speaking market from purchasing products on your store. It is important they are able to read your return policy and other pages on your store in their native tongue and to be able to read the shipping rates descriptions as well.

About Us Page

I highly recommend that you create an About Us page and place it in the header of your online store. Customers like to know who they are buying products from and why they should choose your company. By having an ‘About Us’ page in the header menu, it will be easier for your customers to get to know your store a little better. This creates a sense of trust and can ultimately lead to more sales. If you’d like to learn more about adding, editing, or deleting menu options, I recommend checking out the ‘Add an ‘About Us’ Page to Your Online Shopify Store’ help document in our Shopify Help Center. This article then explains how to add your ‘About Us’ page to your navigation.

I’d also like to share some helpful Shopify Blogs that talk about the importance and benefits of having an About Us page:

These are some of the suggestions I have for your store. The key element is to not give up and keep putting work into your store until you get to that first sale. Perseverance is key, you got this!
