Need alternatives for inventory locations

I currently have 43 inventory locations. However my plan only allows up to 10.

It’s not financially feasible for me to opt for plus plan.

I am in search for alternatives or how to tackle this.

Any suggestions are welcome.

yes, i have 43 physical locations & currently my plan only allows 10 physical inventory locations.

Ah wow. I would think that with 43 physical locations plus would be a fit. There may be some 3rd party inventory management solutions that can handle the locations on their end and just map to a single fulfillment service in shopify - I’ll put some feelers out.

did you ever find a solution to this problem? I’m currently facing the same problem, or at least similar: we only fulfill from a couple of locations, but need to track and move inventory accross 35 locations (partner stores which sell and receive commission).

However, the upgrade to Plus is a bit too pricy as the additional locations are the only feature we need. And the fact, that the inventory locations don’t at least scale a little bit in the lower pricing tiers, seems a bit … cutthroat by Shopify :confused:

I didn’t end up working on this much further. I’d imagine you could use metafields for this. Do you have any other systems that you’d need these pseudo-inventory-locations to integrate with?

Hi @Kalen_Jordan ,

thanks for the update. We will probably also just use a (custom built) external solution for this, instead of trying to hack something together in Shopify.
