Do I need to add an App for Google Analytics 4 and if so, which App is suggested for a Shopify website?

Thank you so much for sharing your question with our network. Yes, you will need the Google and Youtube channel installed in order to enable Google Analytics 4 on your account. Not to worry if you don’t already have this channel, as you will be prompted to during the set up of your GA4 tags.

Steps:1. From your Shopify admin, got to Online store > Preferences.

  1. In the Google Analytics section, click Manage pixel here.
  2. Click Connect your Google account.
  3. Select the Tag ID for the GA4 property that you want to connect to your Shopify store.
  4. Click Connect your Google Analytics 4 property.
