Was told by customer support that I needed my account manually verified to use Shopify Payments, which is okay. I’ve checked the requirements and have all the necessary documents. However, I was given a ticket number (49503528) and told to just… wait until someone gets in touch with me…? No ETA provided and the estimated reply time is “as soon as possible,” which I take can mean a day… a week.. a month.
As someone who pays a monthly subscription for this platform, I find this borderline absurd.
I am already verified on Stripe and have never had to jump through these bizarre hoops. The fact that Shopify is a platform where users build their ecommerce stores through makes this level of service is even worse.
There are about a hundred different companies that use KYC. Shopify can’t do the same?
Extremely disappointed.
