Need Workaround for International Subscriptions with Managed Markets

I’m currently in a bind and hoping someone has found a workaround or solution. We’re wanting to use Shopify’s Managed Markets to streamline international sales, but I’ve hit a roadblock: Managed Markets doesn’t support subscription products.

We have several international customers on a subscription for a product that ships out every five weeks. These are loyal subscribers, and I don’t want to lose them. If we enable Managed Markets, it seems like their subscriptions would just stop working. That’s a massive problem for us.

Manually managing these subscriptions (like sending invoices and following up) isn’t a realistic solution. It’s too time-consuming and could lead to errors or missed shipments.

Has anyone figured out a workaround to keep international subscriptions running while using Managed Markets? Or does anyone know if Shopify has plans to address this issue? I feel like subscriptions are such a common business model these days that it’s really frustrating this isn’t already supported.
