I have been in contact with support for a little over a week to change my ssn. All support tells me to do is wait for the tax team to contact me but this needs to be fixed asap for tax purposes. What do I do?

If you’ve already contacted support and are waiting on the tax team, the best way to expedite this is to follow up directly with Shopify Support and request an escalation. Mention that this is time-sensitive for tax reporting. If no response within 48 hours, ask to speak with a senior support specialist or a supervisor.
For security reasons, SSN changes are handled by the tax team only, and they may require additional verification. Make sure you’ve provided all necessary documents to avoid further delays. If you haven’t received an update, check your email (including spam folders) for any follow-up requests from Shopify.
