No sales in first month

I opened my store a little over a month ago. I’ve gotten some traffic (a little over 1000 sessions) but I am still waiting for sales. I have set up social media accounts. I’ve run some ads and made organic posts. I’m set up on Google Search Console. I would appreciate it if someone could look at my store and see if I’m missing anything crucial.

Hi, @jennov74 .

Welcome to the Shopify Community, and thanks for posting your question.

Congratulations on opening your store! Generating sales can definitely be a process, but I’m happy to share some tips to help you get started. Could you also share what social media platforms you have advertised on so far?

Apart from social media marketing, you can also explore email marketing. You can build an email list and keep your subscribers engaged with regular updates, promotions, and personalized offers. Email marketing remains one of the most effective marketing strategies.

Another option is running promotions and discounts. Setting up limited-time offers, discounts, and promotions can drive traffic and boost sales. You can consider using countdown timers or limited stock notifications.

Lastly, I recommend checking out our Shopify Blog for tips on how to generate sales and increase store traffic.

Hi @jennov74 ,

I really enjoyed browsing your Shopify store. The overall design and atmosphere are incredibly classy and elegant. You’ve done a wonderful job creating a cohesive and visually appealing shopping experience.

I have a few suggestions that might help you further optimize your store:

  • Sales Funnel Analytics: Even though your marketing efforts are great, it might be helpful to analyze your sales funnel more closely. Identifying where potential customers drop off in the purchasing process can help you pinpoint and address any friction points, ultimately boosting your conversion rate.
  • Homepage Enhancements: Given your diverse product range, consider adding more sections to your homepage to showcase your offerings. Features like product recommendations, “complete the look” suggestions, and trending products can enhance the shopping experience. Using images with hotspots can also make browsing more immersive and intuitive.
  • Header and Footer Sizing: On desktop, your header and footer currently take up a significant amount of screen space. Reducing their size could free up more room for your main content, making the site more user-friendly.

Overall, your store is beautiful and compelling. I hope these suggestions are helpful as you continue to refine and optimize the shopping experience. Let me know if you have any questions.

Best of luck!
