If we cancel COD order through an fulfillment app then COD payment doesn’t void.
Is there any way to cancel COD payment if order is already is canceled.
Topic summary
Issue: When COD (Cash on Delivery) orders are canceled through a fulfillment app, the COD payment status remains as “Payment Pending” and doesn’t automatically void.
Proposed Solution: AiTrillion suggests canceling orders directly through Shopify, which automatically marks pending cash amounts as void. For bulk operations, multiple orders can be selected and canceled simultaneously using Shopify’s bulk cancel feature.
Unresolved Problem: The original solution only works for orders that haven’t been canceled yet. Grace_01 clarifies the core issue: when orders are already canceled by the fulfillment app, Shopify’s cancel button becomes inactive, leaving no apparent way to void the pending COD payment for these pre-canceled orders.
Status: The discussion remains open with no solution provided for retroactively voiding COD payments on already-canceled orders. AiTrillion has requested screenshots to better understand the order state and available options.
Hello @Grace_01 ,
I hope you are doing well!
If you cancel the order through the Shopify, you will get the details to cancel the pending cash amount, which you can cancel whenever you want. The payment will autamatically be marked as void.
