A Shopify store owner received a Google Search Console notification that pages aren’t being indexed due to “Page with redirect” errors. The only redirect in place is a standard www to non-www domain redirect (or vice versa), with no URL redirects configured in Shopify’s navigation settings.
Key Points:
The store has been live for approximately four months
Google sitemap was submitted 48+ hours before the error notification
The redirect causing the flag is the primary domain configuration (non-www redirecting to www version)
Resolution Status:
A community member clarified that “Page with redirect” notifications are typically normal and not harmful to site visibility
Google will index the target URL (the www version) instead of the redirected URL
For newer stores, limited initial indexing is expected
Recommended Actions:
Continue monitoring for a few more days
Ensure consistent site traffic and regular content updates
Resubmit pages to Google to accelerate indexing
The issue appears to be a standard indexing behavior rather than a critical problem requiring immediate technical fixes.

I recently verified my Shopify URL with Google and then added a sitemap. I waited about 48 hours for Google to start indexing my pages but eventually I received an email stating that “Search Console has identified that some pages on your site are not being indexed due to the following new reason: - Page with redirect”
Under Online Store > Navigation > Menus > URL redirects, there are no redirects entered. The only redirects that I have is under Domains where I have my site URL (without the “www”) redirecting to the primary domain (WITH the “www”). I understand that it is good practice to have a version of your URL without the www available to customers who may not always include the “www” in their browser address bar. So I am not sure why this is causing issues with the Google indexing process.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance.
This issue Page with redirect means that some of your pages aren’t indexed because users and crawlers entering them are redirected to other URLs. Google will index the target URL instead. In most cases, having redirected pages is normal and poses no danger to the visibility of your website.

You can rest assure about this as this is a report from Google. If your store is new, it is fine if only a few pages getting indexed by Google, At the same time, please ensure the website must have traffic and be submitted regularly to speed up Google’s indexing process.
Thank you for the response DaisyVo. It totally makes sense to have at least one redirect so it is odd that Google is complaining about that feature. My store is about four months old. I guess I will give Google a few more days and continue to browse my pages and hopefully they start indexing my pages.
