Pagination on Collections

Why has the ability to separate a collection into separate pages been removed in the new Horizon theme? Not only do collections with a large amount of products take several seconds to load, which is a terrible experience for customers, but the lack of a loading icon makes it seem like the website is completely broken. Customers aren’t going to wait a couple seconds at the bottom of a collection page to see whether they’re at the end of a collection or the page is still loading products from that collection. Whilst the new Horizon theme introduces many brilliant new features it completely baffles me as to why pagination on collection pages isn’t an option.

Hi @berkay

Horizon uses infinite load pagination on collection pages since this has become the new standard across modern e-commerce sites. We’ve heard this feedback loud and clear though, and we’ll be introducing a regular pagination option in a future release.

Hi Arthur, good move. Any updates with the pagination. SEO is so important and we cannot place vital information on our collection pages without pagination or at least a “load more”-button. With between 50 to 100 products per collection, we cannot build the footer SEO-section. Thanks in advance.
