Why there is no solid payment method in Pakistan for international currencies and markets while we pay the same billing fees and conversion fees (whatever they want) to Shopify platform as other countries do?
How disgusting! Shopify works in Pakistan and Shopify payment does not work.
Third party payments also doesn’t approve Pakistani applications.
Make a clear decision and provide a clear payment method to Pakistan (even a third-party) or just remove it from Shopify service platform.
I appreciate you sharing your question. I would like to emphasize that I understand having a payment gateway is not just a convenience; it is an essential tool that enables you to expand your customer base and reach a wider audience. I also understand it’s imperative for merchants to have access to a robust payment gateway system in Pakistan, enabling you and your business to thrive.
That being said, we truly value your feedback and have shared it with our development team for consideration in the future for Shopify Payments availability in Pakistan. Our Shopify Changelog is the best place to stay up to date on new changes that roll out to the platform, so I recommend keeping it on hand.
Could you share what third-party payment providers you’ve explored or if you’re having difficulties?
If you haven’t already, I recommend checking out our Payment gateways in Pakistan where we’ve listed a number of available payment gateways.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Shopify payments is not available in Pakistan hence to do so, you need an application that enables the process. For Pakistan, Shopify approved application is UNUMPAY https://apps.shopify.com/unum-pay. Installing it, you can enable any bank of Pakistan i.e. alfalah, jazzcash, easypaisa, UBL, HBL etc.

You’re absolutely right it’s frustrating that Shopify operates in Pakistan, yet doesn’t offer Shopify Payments or reliable third-party options for international transactions. Pakistani merchants pay the same fees but miss out on key features, which is unfair.
The issue mainly stems from regulatory and banking restrictions, not Shopify’s lack of interest. Still, it’s a real problem, and many of us including experts and partners are actively pushing for better payment solutions in Pakistan.
Your voice matters. Keep speaking up, and hopefully, Shopify will prioritize this soon.
Payment gateways in Pakistan are few as Shopify Payments is still not available in that region and most of the third party payment gateways are region restricted. One solution could be to integrate Payoneer or 2Checkout as these two payment gateways support Pakistani merchants. Some of these also operate manual payment modes such as bank transfer and cash on delivery in addition to preferring international wallets. Hope this helps.

Shopify doesn’t officially support its native Shopify Payments in Pakistan yet. So to accept payments, you’ll need a third-party payment gateway that works with Shopify and is available in Pakistan.
If XPay has a Shopify app/plugin integration, it could be a very good option, since being local it might have lower fees, better payout times, and better support.
Key things to check with XPay before using:
Shopify compatibility: Do they provide an official integration, or can their API be used via a third-party app?
Fees: What is their transaction fee, currency conversion (if any), monthly/annual charges?
Settlement / Payout: How long does it take to get funds into your bank? In PKR or USD?
Support and reliability: Are they stable, good customer service, minimal downtime?
