I am currently exploring payment gateway options for my business, I am based in Morocco. As my company is not registered yet, I wanted to inquire if there are any payment gateways that accept non-registered businesses in Morocco.
If you have any information or recommendations regarding this matter, I would greatly appreciate your assistance.
Thanks for your post. You can find the available payment gateways in Morocco on this page. I do want to let you know that most payment gateways require you to have a registered business and/or tax documentation in order to use their services. However it doesn’t hurt to contact the gateways directly to ask about their specific requirements. Some popular options are 2Checkout, Payoneer, PayPal Express Checkout, and Oceanpayment.
I also wanted to let you know that you don’t need to set up a payment gateway until you’re ready to start processing sales. If you’d like to take the time to set up your store and register your business before launching, you can definitely do that!
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
I have already created my shopify store. The only thing remaining in order
to launch is setting up the payment gateway. I will try contacting them as
suggested.
It’s great to hear that you’re all set up, @MbitaA !
If you’d like for me to review your store before you launch, feel free to share your URL and the storefront password. It’s always helpful to get feedback and a new set of eyes looking at your store. Just let me know!
I hope all is well. I came across this thread and wanted to share some general feedback.
Congratulations on launching your business! I enjoyed looking through your store and products, it looks like you have a lot of great options for your customers. I noticed three main improvements that you can make to your shop to increase social proof and conversion:
I noticed that you currently do not have any of your social media icons linked to your shop. This is a very good idea to build social proof around your brand and can further engage your customers with new content. Currently, the existing Shopify-built themes have built-in settings for linking up merchants with the most popular social media channels which you can check out here.
Another great suggestion is to add Shopify Inbox to your shop. This app allows you to interact with potential customers and provide tailored recommendations, should they have any questions. This is done through a chat option that is located directly on your store and integrates with other messaging channels like Facebook Messenger and Apple Business Chat. Take a look at our Shopify Inbox Guide on how to set this up.
I also wanted to suggest adding discount offers to your shop and promoting them through your announcement bar. Doing so can be a very powerful and cost effective tool to generate more sales. However, it’s important to consider which types of offers are right for your brand, so I suggest visiting our Shopify Blog here to learn more about when to offer discounts, and how much the discounts should be worth.
