First, I am having trouble getting the credit card payment via PayPal to work. All my settings are as they should be but the other options are just not showing up at checkout.
After reading a bit I realised it says that the option is only available in certain countries and my country (Croatia) is not on the list.
I am not sure if that refers to the merchant or the customer though.
The issue is that the card payments through PayPal on the same account worked perfectly on another platform without any issues. And a different PayPal account is now linked to the site on that other platform and it also works perfectly.
So can someone please direct me who to ask for help in sorting this out and if it even can be sorted.
Second, on the list of other payment providers for Stripe it says it is not available in my country, but it is, as of last year. Will that be updated any time soon, can someone tell me?
Also since it is now part of the Euro zone, adopting Euro as the national currency, and even Stripe is available, what are the chances Shopify payments could be available in Croatia any time soon?

Could you clarify for me what you mean by other options showing up at checkout? Do you mean PayPal is not showing on your checkout? Have you ensured you have set up everything correctly for PayPal as per our help doc here?

In regard to Stripe being added as a payment provider for Croatia, the integration of Stripe with Shopify is not yet available for your region. In addition, to this, I cannot provide a timeline of if and when Shopify Payments will become available in Croatia
