Physical Gift Card QR code Product Not Found

Hello, we have Physical Gift Cards at our POS counter powered by Shopify. Our Gift Cards have non-trackable quantity on the backend with a product page as per Shopify guidelines. But as soon as we scan the QR code for processing a Gift Card for a client, it throws an error saying PRODUCT NOT FOUND. Please advise.
Our digital gift cards are working fine.

Do you mean the customer is presenting a previously purchased physical gift card for (part) payment of their items, or are they wanting to buy a gift card? Both of these scenarios work fine in our store - so maybe you could explain the steps you’re going through in a little more detail?

It’s in regards to when a client is wanting to buy a gift card. We have
different amounts available – for example, $10, $25, $50, $100, etc. But,
when we select this option and then scan a physical gift card it doesn’t
allow for it to be processed.

Tried using the ‘custom gift card’ as an option and physically writing out
the amount, then scanning the physical gift card, and found this process to
work.

Just wondering if there’s a reason it’s not working when we select the
specific amount instead of physically writing it in ourselves.

No, I think that should work. We have a single physical gift card product with four variants (£10, £20, £50 and £100), all set to not tracked. After selecting any one of these (or selecting and entering a custom amount) the same “Add gift card” screen appears and we can scan the QR code without any problem.

Are you using the barcode scanner or onboard camera to read the QR code? What happens if you click “Enter code” and enter the gift card code manually?
