Hi!
I just realized that the Pixel Helper Chrome extension does not see a meta pixel on my homepage. However my Shopify is connected to the right pixel and I have been getting some data. Though I can’t judge whether I’m getting the most accurate data and whether my pixel is installed correctly, as the pixel helper can’t find any pixel on my homepage…
anyone experienced this also?

Hi @sunwalker
If the Pixel Helper does not detect a Meta Pixel on your homepage but you are receiving some data, follow these steps:
1-Verify Pixel Installation:
- Go to Online Store > Themes > Actions > Edit Code in Shopify.
- Check the theme.liquid or header.liquid file for the Meta Pixel base code. Ensure it’s installed correctly.
2-Check Shopify Meta Pixel Settings:
- In Shopify Admin > Settings > Apps and Sales Channels, open Facebook (or Meta app).
- Confirm the correct Pixel ID is connected.
3-Clear Browser Cache:
- Sometimes, caching prevents the Pixel Helper from detecting the Pixel. Clear your browser cache and test again.
4-Test Other Pages:
- Ensure the Pixel is firing on other pages, such as the checkout or thank-you page.
5-Use Meta Events Manager:
- Go to Meta Events Manager, open your Pixel, and use the Test Events tool to check if events are being tracked in real time.
6-Review Shopify’s Automatic Pixel Installation:
- If using Shopify’s native Pixel integration, double-check it’s enabled, as no manual code is needed in most cases.
7-Check for App Conflicts:
- If using third-party apps for tracking, they may interfere with the Pixel. Disable them temporarily and retest.
If issues persist, contact Meta Support for further assistance.
