Please advice on shopify apps/tools for new shop

Hi All, hope you are all well!

I did some websites with shopify before, but now I want to make sure, that I do not waste 100hours on making things, when I can ask and might get some ideas!

Please advice me on what apps I could use, maybe free ones or etc for:

  1. Partnerships with influencers with promo codes. (Collabs is the best one or any better apps for it)? I would be very interested to make an ability for influencers to create their accounts on my website and make their promo codes, start selling under those codes and see charts/graphs on what they ears, how much they have sold etc. I added ā€˜collabs’ for that, but thought I will ask if there are any other ideas? Or best is to get developers?
  2. Partnership forms for shops to apply to sell my product - are there any apps or I need a developer for that? I want, that anyone having a shop would be able to register and make orders for their own account, contact customer support and get answers in their account when logged in. Any ideas how I can do that?
  3. If I can’t find theme and remaking any other theme takes insane amount of time - is there any great apps/tools for theme creation, where you can move everything yourself, change colours and etc? What I have spotted, that if I take other themes and change a lot of things - it doesn’t seem like having a flow if it makes sense? You can clearly see, that things are being added and etc.

I’m pretty sure I will get to ask more questions down the line, but appreciate any suggestions!

Have a great day everyone!

Hi! Great questions, I’ve worked with Shopify setups like this before, and here are some quick pointers that might save you time:

  • Influencers & Promo Codes: Shopify Collabs (native), or try UpPromote / Refersion for more advanced tracking & dashboards.

  • Shop Partnerships / Wholesale: Apps like Wholesale Club or B2B/Wholesale Solution allow shops to register and manage their own accounts.

  • Theme Customization: Use PageFly or Shogun for drag-and-drop editing instead of heavily modifying a theme.

  • Developer? Not necessary at the start, try apps first, then go custom when scaling.

Hope this helps as a starting point! Feel free to DM me if you’d like more detailed info or setup tips.

Hi @Karleone ,

I hope you are well!

It’s a self promotion but I think it will save you lots of app cost.

1. Partnerships with Influencers (Promo Codes & Tracking)
AiTrillion can already help with this — you can create unique discount codes for influencers and then track sales, revenue, and commissions generated through those codes directly in the dashboard. Influencers don’t need separate logins; instead, you manage codes and performance in one place, and they can be rewarded based on tracked sales.

  • If you want a more influencer-facing experience (where they can log in, see their own stats, etc.), Shopify Collabs is a good option. However, with AiTrillion you’ll cover the essential part: promo codes + performance tracking + payouts through loyalty/referral features — all integrated with your marketing.

  • This also ties back to AiTrillion’s email/SMS automation — you can send automated performance updates to influencers if needed.

2. Partnership Forms for Shops / Wholesale Accounts
AiTrillion has forms that you can embed on your store. Shops could apply to become partners, and you’d get their details saved right into your CRM inside AiTrillion. From there:

  • You can create custom workflows (approve/reject applications, segment them as ā€œPartners/Wholesale Accounts,ā€ and give them access to special pricing).

  • You can also run dedicated email/SMS campaigns to your wholesale partners directly from AiTrillion.
If you want a full wholesale ordering portal, you might consider a wholesale app or a custom dev solution — but AiTrillion will handle the onboarding, segmentation, support tickets, and communication seamlessly.

3. Theme Creation & Design Flow - For this, you can use Ecomposer, Pagefly, or Gem pages.

Hi,

Great questions! Here’s what worked well for me as a store owner:

  • Influencer partnerships: Shopify Collabs is a solid choice and free to start. If you want more advanced tracking/affiliate dashboards, you could also look into apps like UpPromote or Refersion—they let influencers create codes, track sales, and view their earnings.

  • Wholesale/partnership applications: Apps like Wholesale Club (by Pixel Union) or B2B Wholesale Solution let other shops register, get custom pricing, and order directly. If you want something simpler, a form app like Powerful Form Builder can collect applications, then you approve accounts manually.

  • Theme customization: If editing themes feels clunky, you might like using a drag-and-drop builder app such as PageFly or GemPages. They make it easier to change layouts/colors without breaking flow. For quick tweaks, the Shopify theme editor + Sections Everywhere works well too.

That way, you avoid wasting 100+ hours and still get a professional setup without heavy coding.

Hope that helps!

Hi Karleone,

Great questions, here are some ideas that might save you a lot of time:

Influencer partnerships / promo codes

Shopify Collabs is the best native option right now. Influencers can apply, get discount codes, and you can track their performance.

If you want deeper analytics (dashboards, commissions, payouts), look at apps like UpPromote: Affiliate & Referral or Refersion. They let partners log in, see their sales, and get custom codes.

Partnership forms for shops (wholesale / B2B)

Shopify recently launched Shopify B2B (available on Shopify Plus), but for regular plans you can use apps like Wholesale Club (by Pixel Union) or B2B Wholesale Solution.

These apps let you create sign-up forms, approve stores, and give them custom pricing, accounts, and order history. Much easier than hiring a developer unless you want something very custom.

Theme customization

If you don’t want to rebuild from scratch, a drag-and-drop page builder app can help:

PageFly (popular, flexible, free plan available), GemPages, or Shogun.

These let you move sections, change colors/fonts, and create custom layouts without coding. Just keep it consistent with spacing, colors, and typography so the site flows naturally.

:backhand_index_pointing_right: In short: Collabs or UpPromote for influencers, Wholesale Club/B2B apps for shop partnerships, and PageFly or GemPages for design flexibility.
