Possible to create a scan-able QR code I can give to customers to scan in Shopify POS for discounts?

Hey there,

I’m going to be passing out little printed flyers with QR codes to my customers. I was hoping these QR codes can be scanned by me while using the POS app and add a discount to the customer’s order before checkout.

I don’t want people to be able to use the QR codes on my online store, but rather only in-person discounts when I check them out through the POS app.

Is this possible? How would I make the QR discount code and where would I be able to scan it in the app?

I don’t know if it can be done, but what you can do is create a discount tile in your POS, and apply it to all customers who show the flyer.

On POS you can create “tiles” in the smart grid - those are the squares you see when you open POS.

The tiles can be links to specific products, website links, add customer links, and other options including to apply a discount.
