Pre-assembled boxes

Topic summary

A user inquires about sourcing pre-assembled boxes in bulk, noting that most suppliers only offer flat-pack options requiring assembly during fulfillment.

An Arka representative responds that this is a fundamental trade-off:

  • Pre-assembled boxes: Higher shipping costs due to increased volume
  • Flat-pack boxes: Lower shipping costs but require labor for assembly

The conventional and more cost-effective approach is shipping flat boxes (like a deck of cards) and assembling them on-site. The representative offers to provide small sample orders (1-10 boxes) and directs further questions to their support email.

Buying large quantities of small boxes seem to involve flat packs, requiring assembly at fulfilment time. Are there some good alternatives to provide pre-assembled boxes?

Haha this actually gave me a chuckle but unfortunately it’s one or the other.

Pre-assmbled boxes = additional cost to ship

Non-assembled boxes = additional cost to assemble

The conventional approach AND the much more cost effective approach is to ship flat boxes like a deck of cards and have someone assemble them.

Don’t find this out the hard way!

We can help with this if you wanted to order 1 or 10 boxes from us to start.
