Print on Demand for School Uniforms in Canada

Hello!

I’m looking for a way to print on demand elementary school uniforms. Blue, Green and White. Must be good quality. Would prefer in Canada for shortest and easiest shipping. We are located in Hamilton, Ontario.

This would be the base of the uniforms: https://www.childrensplace.com/ca/c/kids-school-uniform-shop (basic blue and white). Then I’d like to put a logo on them (embroidered).

The issue is that I don’t know what POD companies have this kind of clothing. I looked on Gelato and Printify for instance and they didn’t have those base clothing items. Typically they are heavier material rather than the t-shirt material.

Have you thought about creating your own products and keeping your own inventory perhaps? By this, I mean getting the apparel that you specifically need then finding a printing company in your area to complete the design. Definitely not as convenient as creating a design in Gelato, for example, and simply uploading it to your store but given your specific business needs, this may be the case.

Upon searching the net, I have found the following printing companies based in Canada that might be worth the look as well. Please note however that these are outside sources so keep that in mind:

  • Coastalreign.com : this printing company is right from Hamilton so it is worth the look. They also have clothing apparel similar to what you showed me as well.
  • Dad’s Printing : as per the website, they allow custom products to be made so it might be worth communicating with them of your needs and go from there. They’re based in BC however.
  • Printedshirts.ca : another promising website as this one is closer to your in Mississauga. They also have lots of categories to choose from as well.

We appreciate your patience, Chelsea but most importantly, definitely let me know how these resources work out for you. Given these are outside sources, I urge you to really try to do as much due diligence as possible before moving forward with any of these sites.

Thanks so much … ok that makes sense re: designs. It’s more expensive to hold our specific inventory than do print on demand, but maybe makes sense. I really appreciate your response!
