Prioritisation of effort between the different CRO efforts

Could you please describe where the biggest return of time / cash investment is across the different CRO activities, and where new businesses without a lot of data should focus their limited resources first?

our site is only live since January, and so we are only just learning about ads etc. but we struggle with converting traffic from our Meta Ads:

There are no targeted CRO methods to achieve the best ROI. The market is changing very dynamically.

A year ago, payment icons sorted in descending order of payment method (Paypal, Mastercard …) were the best. Then came social proof, benefit boxes, USP bullet points, copyable vouchers… There is a lot that can be realised.

We recommend social proof, payment icons and benefit boxes as standard optimisations. This should always be done via the code, as apps can slow down the speed here.

Thanks Nordalux,

  • What are benefit boxes please?
  • I’ve been holding off on adding ‘shop’ as an additional sales channel to my store as when activated the default option for payment changes from being Paypal to Shop Pay. Do you know anyway around this so that I can integrate the additional channel whilst still keeping Paypal as the preferred payment option presented to the customer?
  • I recently added reviews to the site, but we only have around 1 per product so this will take a bit of time to build

Thanks for the advice!

We call these as “benefit boxes” internally:

With an app, e.g. BeSure Checkout Rules, you can sort the payment providers in the checkout as you wish.

Thanks.

Sorry to be such a Noob - I understand those benefit boxes now, but how are they implemented on the shopify store? Are they just a custom graphic that is added as part of the product description or similar?

Also would you mind taking a look at the images on our site please and comment on the quality? https://furyon.co.uk

We build this directly into the theme and can be integrated as a block on the product page and customised at any time. See here.

That’s great thank you. I’ll check that option out.

It would be awesome if you could take a quick look at our site and let me know if you think the product images look ok. We haven’t been able to hire a professional photographer yet, so this is a bit of a compromise but I don’t know if it’s a compromise too far and would love to get your view on that thanks.
