Product Images Too Large on Desktop

I have read many posts on this board, and I cannot find a solution for my issue.

I am using the Spotlight theme and all my product images are so large. I have tried going into the products themselves and resizing the image using Shopify’s built-in resize option. If I change a product image’s size to 300px x 300 px, the image will still be the same size on the product page as before but will be blurry instead.

How can I reduce the product image on desktop to be 1/2 or 1/4 of what it is now? Here is a screenshot:

Go to customization on your product template and check for this section in the screenshot.

Then click on it to open it and change the size of the media according to your preferences.
