Product infomation is the same for all products

When editing the ‘product information’ drop-down items on my products page, whenever I edit them for one product, it applies the change for all products. For example, if I change the material listed on one product to steel it changes the ‘material’ shown on all the product pages to wood. Is there any way to only alter the information of a single product?

In order to do this, please follow the instruction below:

• Go to Setting > Metafields > Products > Add definition > Fill out the required info.
• Scroll down to the bottom of each product page then you’ll see the meta field you’ve created before > Fill out the specific content.
• Navigate to Online Store > Themes > Customize > From top center dropdown, select Products then Default Product template
• In the sidebar menu, click on Product Information > Hit Material for instance > Click on the Insert Dynamic Source and select metafield you’ve created before.

Hi, thank you for your response. Why when I add the dropdown menu for one product, does the dropdown menu appear on all the product pages? and how can I stop this as I would like it to display a different material for each product on my store.

the problem is that these options and the information within them are the same for all the listed products
