Reference a Metaobject Field Embedded in a Metafield?

There are several metafields that I repeat continuously across multiple collections/products/pages, so a Metaobject seemed like it should be my solution.

I created a metaobject, then added it to a collection template as a metafield. Now I can’t seem to figure out just how to reference it…?

I’ve tried:

… metafields.custom.mymetaobject.[field]

… metafields.custom.mymetaobject.[field].value

… metafields.custom.mymetaobject.[type].[field]

… metafields.custom.mymetaobject.[type].[field].value

Am I misunderstanding the use of metaobjects?

Gotta say, this being the first “answer” to almost any question asked, gets old.

Not looking to hire anyone – just asking a general question about how one references the data in a metaobject that is assigned in metafield (as a metaobject type).
