We use Shipbob for fulfillment (Location A) and process our own returns in the office (location B) as this is the address on the label. How can we correctly restock returned inventory to Location B and not to location A? We have already set up a location A in Shopify and set it to not fulfill inventory so that it is only used for storage, however whenever we restock a return to Location A it does not store the inventory restocked. Nor is
Couple ideas:
A) Maybe you could change the location of the fulfillment order before you refund the item in Shopify?
- Click the 3 dots in the top right of the fulfillment order box for the item(s) when you’re in the Shopify order details
B) If not A, have you tried reaching out to ShipBob to see if they have a common solution that other merchants use?
C) If neither A or B works, we could probably create a custom job for you in Order Automator app (app with a suite of features to automate tasks based on order processing) that would do something like this: WHEN an order refund happens, check the location of the items in the order, AND for any items assigned to Location A, add that inventory to Location B. If you want to go this route just reach out to support from the app page or in-app with exactly what you want the app to do.
