Returns on items prior to Shopify migration

For those who have migrated from Quickbooks POS to Shopify POS, how are you handling returns that were sold in Quickbooks?

This was a pain for us. We came from a different system than Quickbooks POS and once we found out Shopify POS doesn’t allow manually created returns, we actually had to keep one of our old systems around and active for an additional 30 days for returns/exchanges, making sure our customers knew that after the 30 days from our transition, we would be unable to accept returns/exchanges after that point that were conducted on our old systems as they would be retired. We would then have to go into Shopify and manually adjust inventory per return/exchange. It was a pain in the *ss.
