Hello!

for accounting purposes, can any one share which report to download showing actual revenue and also shopify fee for the same month, i.e 1st of Jan. to 31st of Jan.

With eBay and amazon, we are able to download 2 separate reports - one for revenue, and one for fees. Which makes it easy to work out the gross profit. But with Shopify, I can’t seems to replicate the same principle so it’s causing confusion when it comes to accounting.

Reports to Download in Shopify:

Actual Revenue Report: Use the “Sales by Month” report or “Financial Summary” report.
This shows gross sales, refunds, discounts, and net sales.

Steps to Download:

  • Go to your Shopify Admin > Analytics > Reports.

  • Select Finances Summary or Sales by Month.

  • Set the date range to 1st of Jan to 31st of Jan.

  • Export the report to a CSV file.
    Shopify Fees Report: Fees are usually broken down in the Payouts Report for payments processed through Shopify Payments.

    • Go to Settings > Payments > View Payouts.

This is definitely the best way to do it from within Shopify.

@rcl2018 There are also a number of reporting apps you could use to do this with one report. Just search for “reports” in the App Store.
