Sales

Hi my store is inkedvibe.myshopify.com

I don’t get why I’m not getting any sales…over 800 people saw the website but only 200 clicked on it and I only had one sale which was from a family member…so what am i doing wrong? Maybe not the right target audience…I feel like i could advertise on tiktok to get it but I just don’t understand…ads arent gon fix the problem js gon waste more money to be honest…

The things you sell on your website are very beautiful.

Hi @Inkedvibe ,

Before investing further in advertisements, here are a few points you might consider improving on your e-commerce website:

  • Website Domain/URL: Currently, you’re using the domain provided by Shopify, which is a secondary domain. This can seem less convincing to customers compared to a domain that completely belongs to you. Additionally, using a custom domain can positively impact your SEO by improving brand credibility and search engine rankings.

  • Homepage Design: At present, there’s no navigation bar and only three images showcasing three collections. This setup doesn’t create a strong brand image or style, making the website look too simple and visually unappealing. Moreover, when users click on one of the collections, there’s no navigation to other collections, which can be frustrating. Fashion is all about visuals, so consider adding a strong banner image, social proof, videos, style guides, etc., to make the landing page more comprehensive and engaging.

  • Style Consistency: The style seems a bit confusing. While it’s labeled as Y2K, it looks more like gothic or rock style due to elements like the skeleton logo and skulls on the t-shirts, which are typical of gothic or punk style.

  • Y2K fashion typically includes:
Bright Colors and Bold Patterns: Neon, metallics, and eye-catching prints.
Low-Rise Jeans: Often paired with crop tops.
Crop Tops and Baby Tees: Tight-fitting and short.
Mini Skirts and Cargo Pants: Paired with chunky shoes or platform sandals.
    Velour Tracksuits: Comfortable and stylish.
Platform Shoes and Chunky Sneakers: Footwear with height and bulk.
    Baguette Bags: Small, under-the-arm bags.
Shiny and Reflective Materials: Fabrics like satin and vinyl.

Reconsidering your overall style and target audience might help in aligning your brand more effectively.

I hope these suggestions are helpful!

Okay so my target audience is the grunge gothic people…i should get rid of “y2k” and also buy a custom domain so it seems more “mine”….and a navigation bar! Sounds good!
