Heya, anyone know why there is code appearing under the ‘Shop’ heading in Google search results?
How do I fix this?
Hey, @nibbedcacao
I’d be happy to help out. It’s likely that this is being caused from within your meta description field and you should be able to fix it by making changes to it. Is that shop page a particular collection? If so, head on over to that collection page from your admin, and then click on ‘edit website seo’ to edit the meta description
The source code for your collection page (the one google goes to from the Shop link) appears to have a broken bit of code that starts with:-
![]()
I say broken becuase I can’t see anywhere on your page anything about the “food of the gods”. If you can find that in your source code you can either fix or remove.
I can’t help any further but if your not into editing the source their are others that can help you around.
Hope you get it sorted,
thanks for your help.
Hiya, ok it’s not a collection it’s just the overall shop page. Not sure how i proceed from here?
Thanks for your help
ok, thank you for your response. I’ll see if i can do it!

Hey, @nibbedcacao
Were you able to resolve the problem of the string of characters/code that were showing up in your ‘shop’ page’s meta description?
If there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.
Heya, no
I can’t figure out how to remove it. It’s not a collection, so
i can’t change the SEO edit box. It’s the overall shop for all products.
Hi @Dirk , do you have any more light to shine on this please?
Gotcha, makes sense @nibbedcacao . Are you using any SEO apps by chance or had any installed previously? Perhaps any apps that are used for page building?
Hi, did you find out what caused this?
We are having the same issue, for example this product
