Sell-Thru Report Always Inaccurate

It seems that no matter what Sell-Thru Rate Report I pull, the ending quantity is 10%-90% off what my actual inventory is. I know there’s a 3-4 delay in that presentation. But it’s still incorrect. And I’m usually only looking with 1 filter - “by vendor”. Then, if I go into Products > Inventory by that same vendor, it will show so many more variants/options. I’ve checked tags and product organization, everything is correct.

As an example, here is twice filtered product by vendor and name. STR is showing we have an ending quantity of 2 when I have 15 in stock. With no movement in the past 3 days. It’s not like 13 of them were returned and put back into inventory.

How can basic reports be so, so wrong? And how can I fix it?

I just spent an hour arguing with shopify over this after realizing the sell thru reports I have been running for my store are all largely inaccurate. I noticed this when products wouldn’t appear on the report while trying to figure out how successful a vendor has been for me. The reason for the inaccuracy? Shopify Developers do not include products or variants if that product/variant has not sold at least one unit. So basically, if you have three units of three products, and you sell 100% of the units of one product, but still haven’t sold the remaining six from the other products, this sell thru report will say that the vendor has a 100% Sell Thru Rate. Absolutely unbelievable that the developers making six figures a year thought this was acceptable. Shopify is a joke
