Selling in 2 Markets

Hi,

I’m new to both POD and Shopify. I’m using printify, and as an example I want to sell T-Shrts in both UK and US. I’m aware of the “markets” feature in shopify, however, I’m not clear on what I’d do at the Printify end.

ATM I have 2 products, which are basically the same but using “local” POD providers. Is there a better way than this ? This makes sense of course, but thinking there must be a better way, I want the item shipped “locally” to where ever the purchase is made.

Many thanks,

Graham

Hi Graham,

To streamline your process of selling T-shirts in both the UK and US, here’s a solution that might work better than creating duplicate products:

Printify has an Order Routing feature that automatically selects the best print provider based on the customer’s location and the availability of products. This means you can set up a single product in your store, and Printify will handle the rest, ensuring the item is printed and shipped by the most suitable provider near the customer. Here’s how to set it up:

  1. Enable Order Routing in Printify:

    • Go to your Printify dashboard.
    • Navigate to “Settings” and then “Order Routing.”
    • Enable the Order Routing option to allow Printify to automatically select the best print provider for each order.
  2. Set Up Shipping Zones in Shopify:

    • In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Shipping and delivery.
    • Create shipping zones for the regions you want to sell to, such as the UK and US.
    • Assign shipping rates to these zones.
  3. Single Product Listing:

    • List a single T-shirt product in your Shopify store.
    • Printify will route the order to the nearest provider to the customer, ensuring local production and shipping.

By using these features, you avoid the need to create multiple product listings and ensure faster and more cost-effective shipping.

Thank you, that’s very helpful.
