On occassion we have customers that purchase multiple items in one order as below:
In this example the two items are packed in separate boxes. I need to be able to have two packages. It seems Shopify is missing a quantity field and only lets me book in one package per one order.
I want to be able to ave the package shown but with a quantity of 2. I also want 2 shipping labels - 1 per package.
The benfit would be decreased shipping cost.
A shopify rep on chat was unable to find a solution.

Since there is no place for configuring dimensions in Shopify, and everything is based on weight this can’t be handled in Shopify. May I know which carrier you are using? However, I would suggest you take a look at Multi Carrier Shipping Label App. The app will allow you to pack the items in multiple boxes and print shipping labels individually for each package.
Hi Anindita - i tried this option but does not seem to support shopify shipping program. Meaning I subscribed to shopify shipping, not fedex, or UPS, etc directly. Multi-carrier wants you to start accounts with each individual carrier. Any additional insight? Am I missing something in the Multi-Carrier app?

Yes, you need to have your own carrier account to use the app.
