Hello guys, As everyone knows you can go to theme → preferences to edit your meta description that will show up when googling, however, my meta description is a bit weird. So below is my title & description:
And below is how it shows up on google
As you can see, my title shows on the en-us sub-folders that I have never created. I would like to have an effect similar to the below:
Basically, what I would like to appear on google: www.capelin-crew.com, with my given title and description, not the .com>en-us one.
Thanks in advance!!!
Sam, my website www.capelin-crew.com, my E-mail sam.zhao@capelin-crew.com
You’re configured to have a separate folder for en-us which is a major SEO concern as currently you are duplicating every page and sending them in your sitemap:
Using your owner account, you’ll want to perform the following:
- From your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Markets.
- In the United States section, click Manage.
- In the Domains and languages section, click Manage.
- In the Market domains and subfolders section, select Primary domain only.
- Click Save.
It is less likely that Google will differentiate titles/meta descriptions if you didn’t have two different pages with the same configuration.

Thank you! I didn’t know when I set up US market a sub-folder…I believe this will solve the issue!
