tonight I received an email from the Risk Team that I am no longer able to use the Shopify Payments gateway:
”Please note that while you will no longer be permitted to use Shopify Payments as your payment gateway, this does not affect your use of Shopify, which you can continue Shopify. Specifically, your Shopify Payments account has been identified for selling sexually oriented products.”
I was recommended to use Pinwheel, however that was to no avail for me as the forms and documents lengthy and seemingly not arêtes at all to my U.K. bank account (I live in, and sell from, the U.K.) I am wondering if I was recommended an unsuitable alternative because they mixed up my shop with another users shop (which I have emailed them to let them know) but I assume this caused the location confusion.
Anyway, before I set up my Shopify account over a year ago, I queried to ensure that panty selling and nude polaroids were fine and acceptable to the Shopify TOS; to which they were and so I very happily set up my store.
i have had no chargebacks and have always paid my selling fees on-time- so my Shopify Payments account closure is indeed, regrettably, because of the adult-orientated material.
so I would like to know what is the best Shopify-friendly gateway I can use for panty selling and nude polaroids, that my customers will also find a breeze to use? I am not keen on bitcoin etc.

It is possible that when you first started on Shopify there was no issue with your business using Shopify Payments, however we may add to or update the Prohibited Business list on our Terms of Service at any time. Currently, as per our Shopify Payments Terms of Service, adult content and services aren’t permitted to use Shopify Payments.
I was looking over the available UK Payment Gateways on Shopify and it does actually look like Pinwheel is available in your country! I went on their website and I see they have a customer service number for the UK, as well as a live chat if you have any more questions about their Shopify integration. Some other popular payment gateways in the UK are Authorize.net, QuickPay, and 2Checkout. I recommend checking over all the available payment gateways and see which one would be best for you and your business!
