Users are requesting additional filtering capabilities in Shopify Analytics, specifically the ability to filter by product category.
Currently, category filtering is not available as a native dimension, forcing users to create workaround solutions despite it being a frequently referenced dataset.

I’ve really been enjoying the updates to Shopify Analytics. It makes building custom reports way easier. There’s just a few missing data points. We would love to be able to filter by category. This is one of the most frequent datasets that we reference, but we’ve had to cobble together a solution as it’s not a native dimension.
Would also love to see fulfillment location and GMROI.
