Shopify Dawn Theme: Pills and Dropdowns together (variant options)

Hello,

I would like to modify Dawn theme code so I can use Pills and Dropdown type variant selectors together.

Expected Result:

When the Variant Option name is “Size” —> Show dropdown instead of pills

For other Variant Option names, use the selected (Pills).

For Material, I want to keep the same (Pills), for Size, show a dropdown. How can I edit the code to work like this in the new Dawn 8.0.0 theme?

I tried to modify the code for a long time but no success with this..
