There’s this thing called Shopify mall of task distribution, earning commission on each and every task you complete.. I fell for it and my money is still in their platform(App) that I deposited..I don’t know of they can’t access it or what. Shopify please confirm if it’s legit

Hi, We just got scammed by the same “Company” . The tasks became so expensive but we kept re charging the account and managed to complete all the tasks. We could then do the withdrawal, only to be told the next day the withdrawal cant be processed until we pay more money in for Income Tax. So at this point we new we are being scammed and refused to pay anymore funds into the random accounts. I have contacted the banks and they froze those accounts so the scammers cant withdraw there funds from them anymore and we opened a case with the police. Dont think we will get our money back but hopefully this post can help others. @Victoria_13 I think Shopify also need to take steps as the scammers are bluntly advertising they are Shopify… The so called Finance team of the scammers email is Shopify@dmc.chat .

Unfortunately when dealing with the internet, scammers are going to be be apart of it. With that said, we take all of these reports seriously and they go to our internal security team for investigation. Any information you can send up to safety@shopify.com would be great!

We reported the issue long ago, these scammers are hurting more people with shopify name.. something needs to be done to stop this
Same happened to me you can forget to get your money back they will suggest you top up your account to complete task for a payout that never happen

Same with me i was about to withdraw then all of a sudden my credit score is low how whole time it was orite then i had to do more oders now i have taken money from people my salary etc to pay more cant they just give me my money i put into the mall account and let them keep their money

Firstly that’s not the original link, I think you’ve been scammed. Online links are very dangerous especially if you enter the wrong website, you can encounter issues like the one you’ve experienced so let’s be careful next time & stop falling for scams.
Good day, I have also just fell victim to this same scam of a shopify scam and involving a mall account and getting commission on the tasks you submit.
I have also reported this to the financial institutions and also want to go to SAPS. Maybe we can join cases and share all evidence and information obtained to have these people caught?
