Hello guys!
I have a question regarding Shopify Markets, maybe you can help me with a recommendation: we are trying to enable 4 markets for a store
USA - in USD, main market (warehouse in the USA)
CANADA - in CAD (warehouse in Canada)
Europe - in EUR (warehouse in europe)
International - In USD (for the rest of the world - warehouse in the USA)
We have around 20 products. The main problem is that we are not allowed to ship/sell 10 products out of those 20 inside canada, so from the canadian warehouse to canadian customers. Due to the nature of the products and some regulations we must oblige to, we are not allowed to sell and shipp the inside canada, but only those 10 products, So they are excluded from the market. We can, however, ship them from the USA warehouse (from outside canada) and sell them in USD. Therefore, our canadian customers would be allowed to purchase anything from the international market. The problem is now, as Canada as a location is assigned in Shopify to the Canadian market, as soon as I hit checkout, after browsing and building my cart on the international market (in USD) in the storefront, as soon as i change the shipping address to canada, the market gets switched and the product excluded is, of course, no longer available for me to buy.
This is the default behaviour of shopify markets, of course, but does anyone know if we can find a solution to modify this default behavior? Basically to allow Canada to be on both markets as a location, somehow? any public app, or ideas for a custom app ? many thanks!!
