Shopify Payments Payout On Hold

After 3 weeks of waiting as well, we finally received our payout after a someone from support actually cared to take the time and check on my situation. I too was messaging them everyday, even filed a complaint with BBB. Thank you for the response! Things ended up working out, but what horrific customer service experience.

4 months? How much of your funds was put on hold? And had you received
even your first payment? I would advise contacting their support multiple
times a day. It might get repetitive, and they might say it’s no need to
contact them again, but their certainly is a reason to keep contacting
them. Had we just waited like we originally asked to by the first two reps,
who knows we might still be waiting as of today, because the first 2 reps
lied to us about escalating our ticket to the team. You need to confirm
that your case has actually been escalated. And if it has, asked to be
added to the conversation, so you can see everything that is taking place.

I finally received my payout, my best advice is exactly what was stated above by ThisIsReallySad. Staying on top of it, message them twice a day everyday, ask that their manager be aware of the situation, I even filed a complaint with BBB so not sure if that helped in some way. Let them know how urgent this is. Try to make sure that everything stays one ticket so when you do chat with support everything stays on that. Best of luck!

Did they tell you the reason for the pending payout? Mine is on hold for 7 days now without any explanations.

They said they had to verify my bank account information, apparently what
they had on file didn’t match my information so I waited 3 weeks for the
accountant team to reach out and get it fixed manually. After that I’ve had
no issues. Hope this helps.

They needed to verify my bank account, although it had already been
verified. I was paid after waiting 3 weeks. After further investigation,
they do this to anyone who is new, and earns above a certain amount, within
a specific time. As long as all your business and information is legit, you
will get your payment.. you will just have to wait unfortunately, as they
have a very slow internal team that handles all this stuff.

It’s been 10 days and they have not told me the reason for the hold. I keep asking the advisors the reason for the hold and they don’t tell me. How frustrating and ridiculous.

Guys, check your junk mail in your emails associated to your store, because i was waiting for 2 weeks without any response and wondering what was going on, only to find the emails had fallen into my junk folder. Hope this helps!

Hi ,I’ve been on hold for my Shopify payment payouts for more than 2 weeks, i was told by the Shopify support agent that i will receive an email from the payment team in 3 business days. I’ve reached out to support multiple times, and each assistant tells me to wait for an email from the payouts team, but I haven’t received any updates yet. Shopify this is really unacceptable what you’re doing to your customers yes I under you’re trying to review things to make sure it’s legitimate, however there business owners like myself who needs the money in order to push their business further and to pay off clients my store has been on hold since last week I have two stores and both if them the payments has been on hold one of the stores went into a negative balance because of this and I am emailing you guys and no response is given no update no nothing we as customers shouldn’t have to go through such things, it’s making me frustrated that I’m considering to take my business else where but I need you guys to get that rectified asap because time is money , and I cannot go forward if I do not receive my payments please guys please help me in releasing my funds to me

A day before my payout I received this message

"Your payouts from Shopify Payments are on hold while we review your account

Contact Support for next steps on this standard review. This hold does not prevent your customers from checking out."

I have not received any email I was just asked to update the details on my admin page of which I did. I didn’t receive any email, should there be an issue? I need the funds to make purchase to fulfill the orders. its a registered LLC. how long should this take.

No, I have contact many times, helpless

I contacted live support and responded to the email and still my payouts are on hold.. been over a month is ridiculous
