We’re a small group of students and researchers from Imperial College London and Yale, doing a short study on how Shopify merchants run their stores — and where AI could actually make life easier instead of adding more tools to manage.
We’re curious about two things:
What parts of running your store take the most time or feel the most repetitive (e.g. product listings, ads, reporting, inventory)?
If you could hand off a few of those tasks to an AI tool, which ones would you most want it to handle?
It’s a short 2–3 minute survey — no data collection beyond your answers, and we’re just using it for research.
Even short replies are super helpful — we’re just trying to understand what everyday operations really look like for Shopify sellers.
