Shopify store names

I have a Shopify store, but am not happy with the URL that they give you. I’m trying to come up with good potential names for my store that I can potentially register with someone like GoDaddy and use on Social media as well. I’m having trouble coming up with good names that aren’t already taken.

Here is the link to my store.

If there is someone out there that can help me brainstorm potential names for my store, then I would greatly appreciate it. Currently I’m using the name Bloomfield’s as my store name, but that name is not available as a domain name or on Social media. I’m trying to keep it short and memorable like Walmart, Target, Best Buy and Amazon. Every time that I think that I’ve come up with a good name and then go to check with GoDaddy or with a social media checker website, the name ends up being taken.

Hi @rdonovan1

Thanks for reaching out to the Shopify Community! I’m Donna from MooseDesk , your go-to Live Chat, WhatsApp and FAQ App. I came across your post and wanted to share a few strategic tips that could make your name hunt easier and way more fun:

1. Lean into uniqueness, not perfection

Instead of chasing the “perfect” one-word .com (which is super rare), try invented or compound names. Think how “Shopify” or “Etsy” didn’t exist until someone made them up. Try blending your theme + a punchy syllable. Examples: Bloomora, Blumio,BloomsyCo, ShopBluma

These sound unique, are brandable, and more likely to be available across platforms.

2. Add personality with a twist

If “Bloomfield” is your favorite but the name is taken, add a smart suffix or tweak:

BloomfieldHQ, HelloBloom, Bloomfi,Bloomfield.shop

Tip: *.shop or *.store domains are still professional and easier to grab!

3. Check availability like a pro

Use tools like:

Also, I noticed your site doesn’t seem to have a help widget or live chat — adding one could really enhance the customer experience. A real-time support option can make a big difference in guiding potential buyers who have questions before they purchase.

If you’re looking for something lightweight and easy to set up, you might want to check out MooseDesk. It’s a free app that combines Live Chat, WhatsApp support, and a self-service FAQ. It also offers handy features like order tracking and auto-translation — great for helping customers find answers quickly without needing to contact support every time.

Just thought I’d share in case it’s helpful!
