i was browsing here some of the solutions offered here and none of them worked on my dawn Theme version 9.0.0
i know there is version 10.0.0 , however i have some codes that i added , so i don’t want to lose the codes

thank you for taking your time and replying to my post in detail
what i want to know is if there is away to download my dawn theme version 9
with all the custom coding and also download a new dawn them without eh
custom coding , and Github or another program can highlight the custom
coding
since i do not remember where id i add the custom codes , i start saving
the codes only with the last 2 codes i added , but there are few i added
which i dont remember exactly in which folder they are
i can trace back what i was looking for and see if i can find the codes
again , but it would be a guess

The best way to do so is find the core theme of version 9 of dawn then compare the your current theme with the core template.
Then you will able to check the exact custom code done in your theme.
New versions always comes with major code and structural changes, therefore comparison between version 9 and 10 will not going to be helpful in any manor.

there is a tool that i can load both and the program can tell me what’s the difference ?
In one go I doubt for any free tool, however if you have any idea about folder or file, you can check 
diff one by one for difference.
