Does anybody else feel like Sidekick is that friend or relative that has dementia? It keeps stopping halfway through doing something and then when I ask for an update, it asks what I’m talking about.
Definitely not the perfect thing as of now but it is definitely one of the good inclusions and will probably and hopefully get better over time.
Best
best way to use it, create your prompts for sidekick from chatgpt and then give that prompt it will work perfectly

Sidekick is useful as a map, not as the person doing the work. When it stops mid-edit, treat that session as dead. Do not ask it for an update. Open the theme it touched, duplicate it if you have not already, and check the last files it changed by hand. Half-finished Flow, metafield, or theme edits are how stores end up worse than they started.
For the next pass, give it one job only. “Add a heading to this section” not “clean up my product page.” Keep anything it generates unpublished until you have clicked through add to cart, variants, and checkout on a phone.
If it has already left a half-finished theme or Flow, happy to look at a screenshot and tell you whether to revert or finish it by hand.
