I have a similar challenge as here: https://community.shopify.com/c/technical-q-a/showing-different-unit-prices-for-b2c-and-b2b-clients/m-p/644897#M17606
I’m looking for a way to operate with separate prices for B2B and B2C for a customer, but was told that this isn’t possible within Shopify. I suggested that he had a field where a customer could insert a discount code, which was declined.
Instead, he suggested that we create a duplicate website and then crosslink between the two. Well, it’s a solution - however, I see some significant drawbacks:
- Is this even possible without paying twice the subscription amount for everything?
- Will the inventory even be able to communicate? If a product gets sold to a B2B-user, that SKU should be subtracted in both inventories.
- Keeping the website and inventory synchronized is a recipe for disaster.
Any suggestions?
Hi @Hertugweile
We checked your needs and would like to suggest you use our B2B/Wholesale Solution app
In the app, there are 2 modules that directly change the price when the customer visits the website.
For example, Custom Pricing (CP) module:
-
It allows you to create rule setup according to desired requirements: (All customers, Logged-in customers, Not-logged-in customers, Specific customers, Customer tags)
-
You can also select exactly the products to modify the price (All Products, Specific Products, Product Collections, Product Tags)
-
There will be 3 price modification settings (Apply a price to selected products, Decrease a fixed amount of the original prices of selected products, and Decrease the original prices of selected products by a percentage (%))
- Here is the image of our app:
With rule setup:
So you can set up the display of product prices for certain customers.
I hope that you find it useful for your business. If you need further information, please let us know.
Very interesting, thank you - will check it out and get back.
