Hello @Noman5 ,

By following below steps, you can significantly speed up your Shopify store:
- You can compress the images for faster loading web pages without losing the image quality using a tool like TinyJPG
- Reduce the HTTP requests. For example: Combine & inline your CSS scripts
- Minimize broken links and redirects - Avoid unnecessary Redirects and fix broken links
- Using slideshow, which are high-quality images combined with transitions, take time to load when the user clicks the link to the homepage. So instead you can use a single high-quality hero image.
- Use a theme which is optimized for performance means a theme which is responsive, fast, and takes minimal time to load the page.
- Don’t add too many images on a page
Adding too many images on a page can be frustrating. It can significantly slow the load time of your website. Also, it can overwhelm visitors, which will ultimately result in a poor user experience, a high bounce rate, and a high probability of lower rankings in relative search results. - Use Lazyload wherever required to reduce initial load time
- Removing unused app code is a best practice that avoids running code for unused features, and makes your theme code easier to read.
- You can run the Shopify Theme Inspector for Chrome to identify the lines of code that are slowing down pages in your online store.
- Themes contain CSS, JS, HTML which can increase and affect your store speed. So disable theme features you don’t use.
- Use a System font which is a font that is already installed on most computers. For example: Segoe UI, Times New Roman. If you use a font that does not yet exist on your customer’s computer, then the font has to be downloaded before your text can be displayed. This impacts the time that your store takes to load.
If your website takes longer than 3 seconds to load, 40% of your traffic will be lost. Speed will affect the Google indexing. When your customers search on Google, your product can be found only if your page is indexed. Get sales from Google and 20+ world’s largest free sales channels with flareAI, Single click start!

Hi Noman5,
I understand your concern, as good page speed is preferred by search engine crawlers and users alike and contributes to improving the ranking of the website on the search engine results page (SERP).
As your major concern is the slow speed of your website on mobile devices, here are some suggestions that you can consider optimizing your website’s speed.
1. Implement AMP: AMP or accelerated mobile pages is the open-source HTML framework by Google, whose implementation allows Google to store the cached versions of these pages in the server, which reduces the loading speed of the website on mobile devices.
2. Reduce the Number of Redirects: Having too many redirects for the links can increase the overall time taken to redirect the traffic to the right location and hamper the speed of the website. So, it is suggested to reduce the number of redirects on the website.
3. Remove unused Javascript: Heavy scripting negatively impacts the speed of the web page; thus, removing the unused or unnecessary JavaScript from the web page or website can significantly help in improving the overall speed of the website.
4. Compress Everything You Can: You already state that you have compressed all the images and files related to the website’s theme, but I’ll recommend you re-assess the website to see if there is any possibility of compressing any image or file on the website, which can reduce the loading time of the website.
5. Text Compression with GZIP: GZIP is one of the best compression technologies used for the compression of text-based files, like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. So, you can use GZIP for the text compression and make the scripting of the website lightweight.
6. Remove Automatic Image Carousel: Image carousels significantly help in keeping the users engaged with the website; however, automatic image carousel increases scripting; thus, removing automatic image carousel shall improve the website speed.
7. Implement Lazy Loading for Advertisements: Lazy loading is a strategy used by website owners, in which the non-critical resources or meta tags on the website are identified and programmed to load only when necessary. This technique helps in shortening the length of the critical rendering path, which reduces the loading speed of the website.
8. Continue Testing the Website’s Speed: Constantly check and test your website’s speed on mobile as well as desktop devices to ensure that your website has a good Page Speed score on every device and continue to employ the efforts to maintain that score.
Hope it helped!
