Hey guys, my store is relatively new, and I have hit a bit of a wall. I get very small amounts of traffic (10-20 clicks a day). I am running a facebook, instagram, and pinterest account for it as well as running paid ads. My idea is not as heavy on sales as most stores, the education is the more important part, but i still want to make sales. tips? ideas? anything helps!
First off, love the thinking-outside-the-dropshipping-box. I like that you put some learning stuff.
However…….
This isn’t really learning though, is it? I mean it’s basically a bunch of quick Q&As that anyone could ask Google, and it’s so short I would learn much more from Google. How to invest, then one short paragraph. What is trading, then one short paragraph. To me this is very quick and poorly done. I would put a whole page worth of information for each topic.
I didn’t see anything, but do you explain what a candlestick actually is and the different parts to it?
The education-first model is actually smart for this space because people learning about investing tend to come back repeatedly. The problem is your content needs to be the kind of thing people bookmark, not skim.
Right now the learning pages read more like glossary entries. Someone who wants to know how to invest can Google that and get 50 detailed guides. What would make your content sticky is going deeper on specific things. Like a walkthrough of how to actually read a candlestick chart on a real stock, or a breakdown of a recent trade setup with screenshots. That kind of stuff keeps people coming back because it’s practical, not theoretical.
For the store side, your products need to connect to the education somehow. If someone just read your guide on chart patterns, the next natural step should be a tool or a product that helps them practice what they learned. That bridge between learning and buying is where your conversions will come from.
What kind of products are you selling alongside the education?
@John_Carter You are on the right track. Keep continue and be patient, you can also consider below suggestions
1- keep continue a/b testing ( store ), and flow on your website
2- manage the different-2 campaign on PPC platform ( awareness→ consideration→ conversion), also smartly manage the AI tools for ads suggestion and audience target.
3- you can also consider the shopify sales channel like sell on chatgpt
Right off the bat I have no idea what you are selling. If its education first I see no sections for blogs or guides.
Add Guides section on your storefront.
If you are leaning to education first type store, I would suggest selling courses or create videos of your niche. Do not out all your content in your resources. Have something paid as well.
People need to buy something after they read your content. I see merch there but your audience wont buy a merch after reading something informational.
if education is the core of your brand rather than hard selling, lean into that with your content strategy. the store should feel like a resource that happens to sell products, not a store that happens to have a blog. that positioning actually converts really well because you build trust before asking for the sale.
10-20 clicks a day from paid ads is pretty low though, which means either the targeting is too broad or the ad creative isn’t stopping people from scrolling. before optimizing the store further, i’d pause ads and focus on organic content for a bit. build up some blog posts and social content around your educational angle, then retarget people who engaged with that content. warmer audience, better conversion.
