Sub collection showing on meny but cant click on the full colelction

On my menu for example I have the collection ‘DECOR’ and the sub collections are ‘Baskets & Trays’ ‘Planters & Pots’ etc.

I want to be able to click on DECOR and ALL decor items show as well as being able to click on the sub-collections but the DECOR button isn’t linking to anything its just text. I’ve attached a screenshot. Can anyone help, please?

Please check your navigation settings to see if you’ve added any link to that “DECOR” menu item.

Thank you for your reply and for providing your URL. Do you mind providing me with the password?

Do you have a collection called Decor? If not, you will need to create a collection with all your decor items, and then you will just need to link that collection to your menu.

Hi yes I’ve got decor as a collection and added it to my menu with the sub menus underneath, I’ve taken the password off my website now so you should be able to access it :slightly_smiling_face:

It looks like this behavior is by design, as the link on the top level will not work if there are subcategories. This was most likely designed this way, so it stops people from accidentally clicking and leaving the page when they just want to see the subcategories. I found this post that goes into a lot of detail on the same issue and provides a code change solution, although it does seem a bit tricky. If you were to change your code to accommodate this, I would recommend hiring a Shopify Expert. Another solution would be to leave it as it is and add an all-products sub-menu item.

I have made an all products link on the menu but i cant change it to show new-old, how do i do this please? i know how to do this for collections but this isn’t a collection its just all products. Thank you
