Symmetry theme & modifying the quick buy button function

HI All,

I’m not a coder, but I can hack stuff but am new to Shopify.

I have a store that uses the Symmetry theme, in the theme there is a quick buy button. By design the quick buy button slides out a cart on the product page, rather than taking you to the full page cart - But the number of steps and click that a user performs is the same as the standard cart - thus - NOT quick buy.

What I want to do, is replace the code underneath the button with functionality that:

  1. Adds product to cart and takes the user to checkout immediately - in one step

I am hoping some gurus out there can help me out - cheers,
