hello there, I have a client from Nepal and he wanted to use " e-Sewa " payment gateway in Shopify. Is it possible through Shopify?

I was taking a look at our list of supported payment gateways in Nepal, but it appears that at the moment ‘e-Sewa’ is not one of the options. They are able to look into the available options as an alternative, but they could also contact ‘e-Sewa’ support directly to see if there is any way to do this.
Could you tell me a little bit more about why they would like to use this specific gateway? Just in the case that their support confirms it is not possible, I could help you look for the closest option to that.

Dear Lana, it is good to know that shopify listen about payment option for Nepal. I Use shopify and now i stopped it because shopify didnt support nepal local payment gateway such as Esewa, Ime Pay, Cell Pay, Khalti, and even other EPG gateway from Commercial Bank of Nepal. The reason we need it because these are frequently common in Nepal. Hence, available payment gateway for Nepal from Shopify such as SKRILL , 2CHECKOUT need extra verification such as address and zip/post code perhaps in Nepal Zip/post code are not in practice so all e-commerce seller and buyer not entertaining it. In contrast with it Either Nepal Ewallet as mention Above or EPG gateway from NABIL bank Nepal, Investment bank and Himalayan bank from Nepal are designed to captured payments without post code or address verifications in Nepal which is why we need locally supported payment gateway. Although 2CHECKOUT AND OTHER INTERNATIONAL payment is only perfect for foreign buyer who buy from Nepal based SHOPIFY store. We hope you understand and advice accordingly thanks.

Thank you for creating this thread. Me and my company operating in Nepal is also facing the same payment gateway issues as there is no any payment gateway available for Nepal which can be easily integrated in our store.
Please help us the store owner from Nepal who are looking for solution where we can use local payment gateway.
We are loosing tremendous amount of customer because of this problem.
I have talk to local payment provider they jaut give us an api and ask us to integrate from the admin backend.

I recently developed my website through Shopify - I too am struggling with a convenient payment option for Nepalese customers through the website, the cost to integrate ESEWA API itself, has been costly. Please let me know if you have plans to make ESEWA a payment option any time soon, I’ll have to switch to a different hosting otherwise. I can connect to you ESEWA personnel if required.

There are an increasing number of people who would like to use shopify for their online sales and are unable to do so without having the local payment services incorporated. The previous replies already mention reasons why we need it.
